Keeping The Blues Alive
Keeping the Blues Alive was founded in 2011 by blues/rock musician Joe Bonamassa and his business partner and manager Roy Weisman in an effort to ensure the preservation of the blues music genre as well as music education as a whole. Bonamassa’s passion for music advocacy stemmed from a young age when blues legend B.B. King extended his hand and gave a young Bonamassa a stage to play on. In this moment, a torch was passed and just as B.B. passed the torch to Joe, Keeping the Blues Alive will continue to pass the torch to the next generation of musicians. Telluride Blues & Brews Festival along with the Telluride Blues Society is proud to be a partner of this endeavor.
