As the craft beer scene continues to grow, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival continues to receive an overwhelming number of Grand Tasting Brewer applications! The list has been narrowed down and we’re thrilled to announce the 2020 Grand Tasting Brewery lineup. These 56 breweries will pour over 170 styles of beer and cider on Saturday, September 19 from Noon to 3 pm. Cheers!

With over 170 styles of beer to sample at the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival the choices can be daunting! From classic lagers and IPAs, to wild sours and stouts, the complex flavors range far-and-wide. With so many unique tastes, aromas and colors, one may ask themselves, “What makes a good beer or how do I evaluate this beverage?” While everyone has a unique palette and opinion, there are a set of loose guidelines to evaluating a beer properly while sampling. Taste Tease 2019: Volume 1

The Telluride Blues & Brews ‘Taste Tease’ series is our attempt at giving you a look at some of the 170 beer styles you’ll be able to sample at this year’s Grand Tasting. Leading up to the festival, the Blues & Brews Staff will be sampling six beers a month and reporting on our findings. We hope you find this series as informative and fun we do! This month’s blog features Sierra Nevada’s Sierraveza, Telluride Brewing’s AlpenGOSE, Ska Brewing’s Mexican Logger, Bell’s Brewing Two Hearted Ale, Avery White Rascal and Crooked Stave’s Sour Rosé.
